MoA Mocap Update v1.10 – Key Highlights

Updated: 2 days ago

MoA Mocap has been updated to v1.10, bringing improvements across models, plugins, and visualization tools. These enhancements allow users to handle motion data more intuitively and accurately.

1. New Actor Models – Male & Female

New male and female actor models have been added, ensuring stable appearance and accurate body proportions across a variety of body types. Optimized calibration for each gender enables more natural and realistic motion, making motion comparison and analysis easier.

Key Benefits:

  • Support for Various Body Types: Maintains balanced appearance regardless of body shape, improving motion consistency across users of different heights and builds.

  • Gender-specific Features: Each model reflects optimized body proportions and joint structures, allowing natural gender-specific movements.

  • Improved Calibration Accuracy: More precise body data ensures stable and consistent pose and motion recognition.

  • Easy Comparison & Analysis: Effortlessly compare male and female motions, streamlining motion research and animation refinement.

2. Skeleton Motion Display – Joint Visualization

A new joint visualization feature allows users to see the avatar's joint movements in real time. Activating the display via the top button shows joint rotations and translations, making it easier to analyze motion accuracy and balance.

Key Benefits:

  • Intuitive Motion Analysis: Visualizes joint rotations and translations, simplifying understanding of complex movements.

  • Real-time Feedback: View joint movements while performing actions, enabling efficient pose correction and adjustment.

  • Enhanced Visualization Environment: Clear separation of joint data improves analysis efficiency for motion research and retargeting workflows.

3. MoA Mocap Hand Match – Retargeting Enhancement

To address hand position misalignment caused by body differences, a Hand Match feature has been added. Users can manually adjust hand positions with sliders, ensuring natural and stable hand movements even between models with different body types.

Key Benefits:

  • Precise Hand Adjustment: Fine-tune hand height and position for accurate retargeting across different body types.

  • User-centered Adjustment: Manual adjustments allow instant fine-tuning to achieve the exact desired hand placement.

4. Warudo MoA Plugin – From VMC to MoA

The new Warudo MoA plugin addresses issues in the VMC protocol, where differences between actor and character body types caused foot sliding or misalignment with the ground. This plugin ensures precise positional synchronization for MoA.

Key Benefits:

  • Improved Ground Alignment: Automatically adjusts avatars to the ground, reducing floating or sinking foot issues.

  • Body Mismatch Resolution: Retarget motions stably even when actor and character proportions differ, producing more natural walking and balanced movement.

  • Prop Integration Support: The plugin now supports props, allowing MoA prop data to be applied to various objects in Warudo for realistic virtual object interaction.

Prop Features:

  • Real-time Prop Sync: MoA prop movements are instantly reflected in Warudo objects, enhancing virtual-real interaction.

  • Offset Adjustment Support: Users can adjust position and rotation offsets for accurate prop alignment and tracking.

  • Simple Application & Extended Performance: Easy integration allows natural object synchronization and real-time performance execution.

5. Sync Prop Position – Prop Actor Synchronization

When a character's proportions or leg length differ from reality, movement range may appear shorter. The Sync Prop Position feature adjusts props according to character motion ratios, ensuring realistic, proportional movements.

Key Benefits:

  • Automatic Motion Ratio Correction: Props follow the same motion proportion even if character steps or movements are reduced.

  • Maintains Realistic Motion: Prop movements align naturally with hand and foot distance changes.

  • Mitigates Body Differences: Minimizes awkwardness caused by differences in leg length, height, or overall body type.

6. Prop Motion Scaling – Realistic Interaction

This feature ensures that props move naturally according to the character’s motion scale. If a character’s step, reach, or movement range is different due to body type, the prop’s motion is automatically scaled to match, maintaining realistic interactions in virtual space.

Key Benefits:

  • Proportional Motion Scaling: Props scale according to the character’s actual movement, ensuring consistency.

  • Enhanced Realism: Props reflect natural distances between hands, feet, and objects.

  • Body Type Adaptation: Reduces visual inconsistencies caused by differences in height, limb length, or body shape.
