MoA Mocap has been updated to v1.9. This version introduces a variety of new features, including enhanced tracker calibration, T-Pose visualization, improved Unity Plugin stability, actor preset management, and support for a new glove device.
You can see these updates in action through our demo videos.
Tracker Calibration – Tracker Align & Set Origin
The tracker calibration feature has been improved, allowing users to easily reset the origin and coordinate system.
Key Benefits:
Fix Floor & Vertical Alignment Issues
On uneven surfaces, trackers may gradually shift during movement, similar to a ball rolling on a tilted floor. The new calibration feature corrects these offsets, ensuring precise alignment.
Quick Origin Reset
Place the tracker in your desired position and quickly set it as the origin. You can also adjust the height if the trackers appear to sink below the floor level, ensuring a stable reference point.
Front Direction Reset
Change the front-facing direction instantly without remapping or modifying the scene, making the calibration process more convenient.
Enhanced Calibration Accuracy
Incorrect tracker alignment can cause T-Pose or motion data to appear tilted or misoriented, even if the actor performs the pose correctly. This feature ensures consistent and reliable calibration results.
MoA Mocap T-Pose Visualization
A new visual aid allows you to confirm whether the avatar is in the correct T-Pose.
Key Benefits:
Accurate Base Pose Verification
Visually check that both hands are level and the upper body is not tilted.
Reliable Calibration Support
Maintaining the correct T-Pose improves the reliability of subsequent calibration steps.
Unity Plugin Improvements – Data Consistency & Smoothing
The Unity Plugin has been optimized to improve data consistency and reduce jittering.
Key Benefits:
Enhanced Data Consistency
Stable results are achieved regardless of avatar body type.
Reduced Sliding Effects
Minimizes the appearance of slipping feet or body during motion, allowing for smoother and more natural data representation.
Actor Info Preset Load & Save
A new feature allows you to save and load optimized tracker settings and data for each actor.
Key Benefits:
Easy Reassignment
Load saved presets and apply them immediately, reducing repetitive setup steps.
Custom Fit for Different Body Types
Skeleton dimensions and retarget data can be loaded per actor, ensuring consistent results across diverse body types.
Improved Workflow Efficiency
Switching between actors in multi-actor projects becomes seamless, speeding up production.
Diver-X ContactGlove2 Support
The new Diver-X ContactGlove2 is now officially supported, expanding glove options for MoA Mocap users.
Key Benefits:
Expanded Compatibility
Supports ContactGlove2 in addition to existing gloves such as Manus Glove and StretchSense, broadening hardware options.
Flexible Workflow
Choose the most suitable device based on project requirements, budget, or environment.
